Welcome to the Camp East Woods website (the “Site”). By accessing or using our Site, you (“you” or “the user”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Use, as well as our Privacy Policy. These Terms of Use are designed to ensure a positive, safe, and lawful experience for all visitors. If you do not agree with these terms, please refrain from using our Site.
Throughout these Terms, “Camp East Woods,” “we,” “our,” or “us” refers to Camp East Woods.
1. Acceptance of Terms and Website Use
Eligibility: The Site is intended for parents, guardians, and others interested in Camp East Woods. It is not directed at children. By using this Site, you affirm that you are at least 18 years old or are using the Site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are a minor, please ensure that a parent or legal guardian reviews and accepts these terms on your behalf.
Agreement to Terms: By accessing any page on campeastwoods.com or associated pages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, or if any applicable laws prohibit your acceptance of these terms, you must not use the Site.

If you choose to create an account, you agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete information during registration and to update such information as needed so it remains current. Do not impersonate anyone or provide false details.
Account Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. Do not share your password with others. If you suspect any unauthorized use of your account or a breach of security, you must notify Camp East Woods immediately at camp@eastwoods.org. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your account information.
Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account or ability to use the Site (in whole or in part) at any time, without prior notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms of Use, provided fraudulent or misleading information, or engaged in conduct that is harmful to the Site, other users, or Camp East Woods. We also reserve the right to refuse service or access to the Site to anyone at our discretion, provided it is lawful to do so.
3. Permitted Use of the Site
We grant our users a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and make personal, non-commercial use of the Camp East Woods Site. This means you may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own informational use, for example, to learn about our camp or to fill out registration forms for your child. Misrepresent or Spam: Impersonate Camp East Woods or our staff, misrepresent your identity, or attempt to pass yourself off as someone else. Do not send any unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or similar solicitations through or about the Site.
Commercial Use: Use the Site or any content on it for commercial purposes not related to Camp East Woods, without prior approval. For example, you should not resell our information or use our site to advertise third-party products. The Site is for informational and personal use for our camp community, not a marketplace for other services.
Engaging in any of the above prohibited activities is a violation of these Terms of Use and may result in immediate termination of your right to use the Site. It could also result in legal action (civil or criminal) where appropriate.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Ownership: All content on the Camp East Woods Site is the property of Camp East Woods or is used with permission. This includes (but is not limited to) the text, graphics, logos, photographs, videos, designs, downloadable documents, and the overall look and feel of the website. Our camp name and logo are trademarks of Camp East Woods. All these materials are protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Limited Use License: As a user, you are permitted to view and print content from the Site for personal, non-commercial use (for example, printing a page of camp FAQs for your reference). However, you may not:
Copy, reproduce, or distribute Site content for any public or commercial purpose (such as on another website, in a publication, or on merchandise) without our prior written consent.
Modify or create derivative works of any content from the Site. (For example, you cannot take our photos or text and alter them for your own brochures without permission.)

Note: We currently do not have public forums on our site, so this mostly applies if you provide a testimonial or story for us to share with permission.

Examples include: a link to our camp registration portal (hosted on a third-party domain), links to East Woods School pages, social media icons linking to our official Facebook/Instagram pages, or references to partner services.
Third-Party Websites: We provide these links as a resource; however, Camp East Woods has no control over the content, availability, or practices of those external sites. The presence of a link does not imply endorsement of the external site or any association with its operators. When you click on an external link and leave our Site, be aware that you are subject to that third party’s terms and policies (including their privacy policy and terms of use).
