SERIOUS SCIENCE SUMMER CAMP
At The East Woods School
Offered weeks of Tuesday, July 5 to Friday, July 8 and Monday, July 11 to Friday, July 17
This summer, give your child the gift of becoming a trained
scientist.
Send your child on an age-appropriate tour of today’s hottest science
topics. Feed his or her mind with experiments and equipment
delivered straight from the lab.
Junior Scientists and Engineers: Ages 5 to 8
Search for truth and problem-solve with fellow curious campers. All things great and small in physics, chemistry, biology and earth/space science are fair game!
Senior Investigators: (ages 9-14)
Engage in serious research and experiments in a fully equipped lab over the course of 2 amazing weeks. Choose problems and mysteries currently facing our scientists and engineers. Make your own contribution to making our planet a better place to live! Some work may even be suitable for Google science fair or LISEF submissions.
(Full-day enrollment for 2 weeks is recommended for best results.) Maximum class of 20 students accepted.

Do you have a budding scientist at home?
Jane Powel and her team of scientists, educators, and PhD’s, will provide serious science instruction for campers age 5 and up.
Younger students will participate in hands-on labs, and will be exposed to the wonders of scientific exploration and discovery.
Older students will be given individualized attention from Jane and her highly qualified staff. They can help your camper create a unique and high-level science project, work with him or her to expand upon an existing project, or can help your camper prepare for Intel or LISEF.
Your camper will have the added benefit of access to the state-of-the-art science and technology labs at East Woods School.
